Cemeteries

Federation Council maintains seven cemeteries across the area.

Cemeteries & Crematoria NSW have introduced a Interment Services Levy. From Monday 1 July 2024, Council is mandated to charge the following levy on every interment, this is in addition to all other charges.

• The levy price for Interments is $156 plus GST, totaling $171.60. 
• The Ash Interment levy is $63 plus GST, totaling $69.30.

 

BOREE CREEK

The Boree Creek Cemetery is located on Cemetery Road.

COROWA

Corowa’s Pioneer Cemetery is the original town cemetery and is located on Federation Avenue. This cemetery is now only used for burials with a reservation.

The Lawn Cemetery is located on Cemetery Road, on the western side of the township. This area incorporates an Individual Rose Garden and a Columbarium Wall. It is a beautiful space for quiet reflection.

The Catholic Monumental Cemetery is located on the southern side of the Lawn Cemetery.

HOWLONG

The Howlong Cemetery is located on Ashford Road and overlooks the river flats and Black Swan Lagoon.

The cemetery comprises a Pioneer section, Lawn section, a Monumental section, a Columbarium Wall and an Individual Rose Garden.

MULWALA

The Mulwala Cemetery, incorporating a Monumental section, a Lawn section, a Columbarium Wall and an Individual Rose Garden, is located at 111 Lucan Street, Mulwala.

OAKLANDS

The Oaklands Cemetery is located on Cemetery Road and comprises a Monumental section and a Columbarium.

URANA

The Urana Cemetery incorporates a Monumental section, a Columbarium and an RSL Monumental section.

The cemetery is located on Lake Road.
