3 Bin Collection System
Federation Council has introduced a new system of waste collection to divert organics away from landfill for Urana and surrounding villages and some of our southern villages.
The new “3 bin” system allows food and garden waste to be collected from households. Households will now have three separate 240-litre bins, with organics collected weekly, and recycling and general waste collected fortnightly.
If you live in the following areas, you should have received two new bins, a kitchen caddy, a collection calendar, compostable liners and an information pack to explain these changes.
- Urana
- Morundah
- Boree Creek
- Oaklands
- Rennie
- Savernake
- Buraja
- Coreen
- Daysdale
- Lowesdale
- Rand
With the new 3 bin system you'll have more space which means less waste that will end up in landfill which is better for our environment and our future.
