National Heavy Vehicle Regulator

The Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) provides General Mass Limits (GML), Concessional Mass Limits (CML) and Higher Mass Limits (HML) for heavy vehicles operating on the national road network. 

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator provides valuable information about road access, laws and policies, safety, accreditation and compliance. It aims to improve safety and productivity in the heavy vehicle transport industry, minimise the compliance burden and reduce duplication and inconsistencies across state and territory borders.
