Australian Food Safety Week - Food Poisoning, take it seriously!

Australian Food Safety Week is being held from 10 to 17 November 2018 with the theme ‘Food Poisoning – take it seriously!’

Federation Council has developed a range of valuable food safety resources for residents and businesses to assist with keeping customers and family members safe from food poisoning along with providing FREE online food safety training for people working in the food industry.

The warmer weather encourages BBQ’s, picnics and eating out at cafes and restaurants so find out more about food safety hints and tips around shopping, storing and preparing food and much more.

Remember food poisoning is not always from the last restaurant, takeaway or café you ate out at. Quite often, food poisoning also occurs in the home.
