Federation Council is inviting our senior residents to dust off their party shoes and celebrate together at the 2023 Seniors Lunch x 2. Something Old. Something New.

SOMETHING OLD

"Something Old" is all about acknowledging a time gone by and will be held at Morundah Paradise Palladium Theatre on Wednesday 8th February at 11 am.

Guests are encouraged to bring along something old that has meaning and are prepared to share its story. A first teddy bear, an old love letter, a pair of vintage shoes!

Then be prepared to be taken back in time, as special guest and local talent, Dylan Forge entertains the group with a show of crooning classics and Broadway’s greatest hits.

Before everyone all comes together and celebrates ageing well in the Federation Council with a special lunch prepared by Councillor, David Fahey.

Bus transport to and from Corowa, Mulwala, Howlong, Oaklands and Urana. Please make sure you book both a ticket to the event and one for the bus.

SOMETHING NEW

The Council's seniors’ celebrations are an opportunity for our older residents to join together and celebrate the role they play and the valuable contributions they make to the community. It allows senior residents of the Federation Council to connect with each other, provides an opportunity to get out-and-about, to learn new skills, participate in activities, or just have fun and socialise

“Federation Council is very grateful to have received a grant under the NSW Seniors Festival Grant Program along with a ClubGrant from the Corowa RSL Club to be able to support the 2023 Seniors Celebrations,” said Mayor Pat Bourke. “The two grants will allow Council to deliver two free events for our senior residents.”

Tickets go on sale on Monday 16 January at 9:30 am, via the Federation Council’s website or by ringing the Corowa Visitor Information Centre on (02) 6033 3221.

Guest are reminded to book a bus ticket plus an event ticket. Guests must be a resident of the Federation Council and aged 60 or over. Companion cards are welcome. Bookings are for one event per household.

A time to celebrate the role seniors play and the great contributions that our senior residents make to our community!
