In conjunction with the NSW Roads and Maritime Services (RMS), all local Councils in NSW have a responsibility to provide safe, convenient and connected pedestrian routes.
Federation Council documents this information in it’s Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan (PAMP), which is currently being updated.
The PAMP is a comprehensive strategic document and action plan that identifies locations to potentially build new pedestrian and mobility infrastructure throughout the Federation Council area. This infrastructure primarily includes footpaths, refuges and kerb ramps. Council also envisages installing tactile pads at various intersections to aid the visually impaired.
As part of PAMP update, Council is seeking your feedback at two stages as follows:
Stage One: To nominate potential locations for footpaths, kerb ramps, refuges etc to support the development of the new PAMP. Feedback closing Friday 11 October 2019.
Stage Two: Once the draft PAMP has been developed it will be placed on public exhibition for a period of 28 days to seek the community's feedback. This is expected to occur January - February 2020.
Council is inviting community organisations, businesses and residents to nominate a location(s) where they believe footpaths, kerb ramps, refuges etc can be improved or newly constructed.
Feedback is invited up to 5pm, Friday 11 October 2019 via the following mediums;
