NSW Regional Tourism Awards Finalists Announced

Federation Council is thrilled to learn that two tourism businesses located in the Federation Council area have been selected as finalists in the prestigious 2019 NSW Regional Tourism Awards.
Federation Council Mayor, Cr Patrick Bourke said Council would like to congratulate the Corowa Distilling Co. and DC on the Lake tourism businesses who have been announced as finalists in the awards.
“The awards application process is a rigorous one with the main focus being to develop quality regional tourism products and provide businesses with the opportunity to benchmark their business with similar businesses in activity and size and also have the opportunity to identify their own personal and professional development within the tourism industry.”
“Council would also like to thank Murray Regional Tourism for offering the Murray Awards Support Program for first time entrants to the awards.”
“This support program provides fully subsidized one on one mentoring to five first time entrants to complete their awards submission and the Corowa Distilling Co were lucky to be selected to receive this support,” he said.
Tourism operators and events from across the region will be recognised in Dubbo at the upcoming gala evening at the Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo on Saturday 27 July, 2019.
NSW-based winners of the Regional Tourism Awards gain finalists status upon entering the NSW State Tourism Awards, and if successful, progress to the National Tourism Awards.
