On Wednesday 23 May at 11am, libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres and family homes around the country will be joining in National Simultaneous Storytime by reading the same picture book written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator.
This years book is Hickory Dickory Dash and will be read by Federation Council libraries in Corowa, Howlong and Mulwala. Local residents are being encouraged to visit their local library to take part in the initiative, which aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, celebrate Australian authors and illustrators and bring together communities through a shared love of reading.
The Corowa Library will welcome local preschool children who will visit on the day and join in the fun and excitement of National Simultaneous Storytime.
